A medical-grade facial is defined by the concentration of what is used and the license of the person using it. Retail actives are limited by law to strengths designed to be safe in anyone's bathroom. Ours are not: we work with pharmaceutical-grade acids, enzymatic and biologic agents, and devices that are only available in a physician's practice. That access is meaningless without judgment, so every appointment begins with an assessment rather than a menu.
Skin is not a static object. Barrier function shifts with season, travel, hormones, medication and the flight you took last night. A protocol that was correct for you in March can be too aggressive in September. We treat the skin in front of us on the day, and we are entirely willing to reduce a planned peel to an enzyme and a hydrating infusion if that is what the barrier can carry.
The result we are after is not tightness or peeling. It is clarity, even tone, a refined pore and the particular light that reads on camera. In Los Angeles, that finish has to survive a fitting, a lens and a full day of sun — so we build it in layers rather than in a single dramatic session.
